PG 1/60 ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom WIP 2

The monster is really taking the stage...

2011 Jan. 26, 1:30 AM - Snap fitting the HIPS and RAILGUNS

Hip pieces and assembly...

The joints to the legs does swivel like that of Gundam Exia, But there is a lock the holds the joints in place. [Locked joint here...]

[Released joint here...]

[Swiveled up here...]

[And locked again...]

Pieces and assembly for the Skirt armor and railgun joints...

Backside of the whole HIP part. Those skirt joint slide up and down, and the Railgun joints swivel from sides to back. It is also locked into place by pushing them in.

Skirt armor pieces and assembly.

The skirt internal has good amount of details for the insides, but plain on the side covered with the armors...

Railgun pieces and assembly...

Gold details located at the end barrel and the exhaust at the back...

It also has good amount of details for the gold parts... too bad much of it will be covered by the armor pieces...

Sliding mechanism...

The gold piece here isn't attached directly to the main frame of the railgun but on the gray armor pieces locked in by that red piece.

The "Exhaust" back part of the Railgun details...

More Pieces and assembly... Railgun joints and beamsaber holders...

Those beam saber holders does rotate...

Beam saber holder details...

2011 Jan. 26, 6:30 AM - Snap fitting the BODY

I definitely think there's some scale issue here... I don't know if the Pilot figure is small or if Kira Yamato is just too big... Yes they're both in the PGSF box, both 1/60 scale...
I just think the pilot figure is just too small...

Cockpit pieces and assembly...

Main body pieces and assembly...

Some mechanism to stabilize waist articulation...

Cockpit sliding mechanism...  (closed)

 Cockpit sliding mechanism...  (open)

The joint where you put the Dragoon backpack... I think it's too shallow for such a heavy backpack...

Waist pistons parts and assembly...

More body and shoulder joint parts...

Shoulder armor detail...

Waist pistons...

Shoulder articulations...

More Body detail parts and assembly...

Lower body (waist) pieces and assembly...

Small parts... I actually superglued the ball piece in place before it got lost...

Whole internal body frame...

Waist articulation...

Body, Hips and legs assembled...

Size comparison to a 1/100 MG Freedom...
Just to note... 1/100 MG Freedom is about a head smaller than 1/100 MG Strike Freedom...

My fingers already has bruises on them...

I'll continue with the Head, Arms and main Back pack piece next time...

will leave the wings/Dragoons and weapons for last...

Ja...

And I just finished watching Kami no Shizuku... nice and fresh (and mouth watering) drama series... I might post my insights later...

And I also started to download "Gakko ja Oshierarenai!" (Things You Don't Learn In School... I think that's the english title...)

Don't ask...

Riisa Naka...

And the promotional poster looks crazy enough to be entertaining...
