I just snapfitted this kit a while ago and I must say this kit is pretty damn nice...
If you think that Wing Gundam Zero Custom is just all that elegant and beautiful with those angelic wings... then Gundam Deathscythe is pretty Badass...
I never thought this kit would be more good looking than any of the Wing Gundam versions... but after snapfitting the kit and striking it a few poses... I'm impressed... (see the action poses images...)
So basically, this is the Ver. Ka which is the supposed original design of the Gundam in the Wing Series before they appeared on TV...
The model height is slightly smaller than your basic Gundam... (A head or more smaller than the usual size...)
This is the first time I left the eyes without stickers...
The head maybe small but everything is molded in color, even the Vulcans on the head are separate...
The feet have joints pretty much like the Exia, but this one is more stable and stiff...
The buster shield looks even more menacing than the HG version... (and it does have some good engineering and the piece feels heavy...)
The shield does come off and leaves the "brace" behind... and it also allows position adjustments... forwards or backwards...
There are some nice grill details on the chest but I wasn't able to take good photos of it...
Backpack air intakes...
Shoulder details...
The backpack and the Scythe mount...
That white fin does move up and down...
The skirts have good internal details...
Opened cockpit...
Action poses...
Buster shield with beam part...
The shield not attached, showing brace...
The Buster sheild...
Time to meet your maker!
So this Gundam can handle almost every badass pose you can think about...
Pretty damn impressive to...
Those yellow parts on the lower arms are loose, only locked in by the hands, which allows it to move to position accordingly...
Weight problems?
What weight problems?
Deathscyte can hold up to the name God of Death pretty well...
Opening theme pose... (now to set some fire behind...)
So as being the first MG I have of the Wing Series (or ver. ka, or Tv Series...) and having to choose between the currently released MGs of the Wing Gundams (ver ka, zero custom, tv)... I think Wing Gundam Ver. Ka just move up above Wing Gundam in my to "To Have List" just because of the Ver. Ka Design, and it could be a great partner for this awesome Gundam kit...
I haven't remove Duo Maxwell yet from their sprues... and he's got the hair...
It come with 4 pairs of hands (fingers), 1 pair is currently attached to the Gundam at the moment...
Ja!
