MG 1/100 GAT-X105+AQM/E-X01 Aile Strike Gundam

This is actually my first MG kit snapfitted about almost a 10 months ago.I already sanded down most of the body armors, and cleaned the nub marks off. Also, I left out the internal detail part of one of the red fins of the Aile Strike pack because it seems I would be having a hard time taking it out again during the customizing process...

Anyways... here are most of the images I took...

My 1st rule in making a custom, take photographs of the model first so you can have reference for the future. And it might be the last time you'll see that kit after you finished modding it out...

There are some notes on this post on what I might try to fix, mod,  or customize.

Things of note... the ankle part is somewhat loose, will fix that.

Chest part is too empty, will fix that...  (And I over-sanded a bit.. will fix that also...)

I may not use the base in this project since my plan is to have Strike Gundam in a flying pose, so it may be obvious that the launch bay should already be far away right? I'll keep the base for future projects.

The real problem is that the Verniers and the Fins on the Aile Striker pack is molded in one red piece... so I'll be having a hard time painting these things...

This piece is part of the Aile Striker pack... I left it out to be added sometime after the painting process...

The decals that came with the kit... stickers (nehhh) and dry transfer...

And some more Water slide decals I bought...

Until next post!
I might post MG Exia while working on this Strike...

  3. I'm afraid not as epic as the Wing zero before... I'm trying a clean build out of this... but then again maybe I could do an Epic clean build?
