PG 1/60 ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom WIP 4

This post is on snapfitting the whole DRAGOON SYSTEM... And modifying the wing connector a bit so it doesn't break (hopefully...)

Anyways... this will be another long boring post X8...

DRAGOON BITS

The mechanism for the retracting things on the DRAGOON BITS. it's just basically an automatic cover for the slot whenever you take it out of the DRAGOON SYSTEM...

X8...

1st half of the DRAGOON SYSTEM

Exercise extreme caution on those fragile parts...

Basically, everything on the DRAGOON SYSTEM retracts...

These are the next 2 which are partners of the previous...

Joining the pairs...

So here's two pairs already combined... the other 2 pairs are just the same but with a different joint positioning... so I skipped documenting the process...

WING CONNECTOR

Before I combined those 3 parts together... I did a little mod on part number S12 and S22. the shitty dangerous parts... so do not combine those 3 parts yet, you'll have a hard time pulling them out...

Here's the S12 S22 part... there's 2 little teeth up and down the big whole. Those teeth bits to the rigid joint of part S11 S21. Those teeth would give these joints great resistance whenever you'll rotate S11 S21 over S12 S22.  (The teeth are defined on the instructions manual...)

So take out your knife and start scraping those teeth off... The idea is to just make the joint turn more easily but not too loose the it swings without touching... You don't need those teeth... The teeth just makes the joint too stiff which when you would try to rotate the wings back, it would give great resistance and therefore might actually break the part...

I did scrape a little more on the whole area even on the deeper and tighter area down there...

You can test the rotational movements with part S11 S21.

Whenever you feel like it's ok, complete the snapfitting proccess...

But this link can help too - http://reggiocomics.blogspot.com/2010/12/how-to-repair-pg-strike-freedoms.html

I think this shows why the engineers at ANAHEIM ELECTRONICS are better than others...
Or I think we can wait untill someone mass produces a metal version of the part...

I would also suggest that you put the connectors first for better handling, then put the DRAGOON on the connectors... either way, handle everything with extreme care and caution...

Now the DRAGOONS rotate back more easily and without breaking (and I just hope it lasts...)

WEAPONS BLOCK - Akin to writers block, weapons block occurs when you have completed the main construction of your gunpla and get to the weapons and lose your motivation to keep going. The only solution being to stall completely or power through.

I'm getting the feeling that it's gonna break anytime now...

Size comparison with the EVA-02 Diorama...

For attaching the DRAGOON BITS to the SYSTEM... push those retracting stuff inside...

Then just snap them onto the SYSTEM... WITH CARE!!!

It's 5:00 AM...

My eyes are burning...

But not enough to stop me from watching Bakuman...
Might also start Macross Frontier as a friend of mine said it's a good series with good music...

Because Good music = Good Anime... and Robots are a bonus...

And this new Anime called Ano Hi Mita Hana No Namae O Bokutachi Wa Mada Shiranai. Or Ano Hana for short... It's about a hikomori who is seeing and interacting with a dead childhood friend... No it's not creepy but it's actually pretty intriguing and interesting. I've just watched the first episode and cannot wait for episode 2 to come out...

I just don't know how the Japanese get's all the ideas... really far off from the Western style... off-world even...
