There is a red version of this, considered as a Space Type, (which I wanted to get but isn't available at the moment...) so I guess this blue one is a ground type...
The RGM-79 Type C ... might be also known as the GM Kai or Ver. ka...
In terms of Mobile Suit Art Designing, this is the standard GM design on the Gundam 0083 Stardust Memories Series. Customized units like the RGM-79N Custom which South burning used was based on this RGM design.
Since the storyline happened in UC 83, and the last Gundam unit before the RX-78 GP series was the RX-78 NT1 Gundam Alex, this is some what the GM version of that Gundam... (personal theory...) And the kit also follows some mechanical design from the Gundam Alex too...
Alex... Arex... hmmm...
So about the model itself... It has less movable joints than the RGM-79N South Burning Custom, but it gives great stiffness and stability on the joints... The arm joints and hands on this model were even more tighter that any other Model I had... but maybe it's just because of the way I built them...
The neck and area above the body is too empty... not to complain (since it's a good thing to be customized...) but it really is just too empty... not even a few panel lines or hatches...
The Beam Spray Gun attaches to the side skirts via the Gun's hook...
The hook... which could be hidden whenever not in used...
Back details...
The add-on/interchangeable parts for the GM Carbine, are held by a removable socket at the back skirts...
Socket removed... and back skirts closed...
Back pack detail... 2 U.C. Verniers are cool... 4 U.C. Verniers is just way too badass... but no red interiors this time unlike the RGM-79N South Burning Custom...
The back of the Shield, with the two (and only two) beam sabers stored on it... and the extra shield-arm connector...
Most of the extra accessories (sans the, beam sabers,) Unlike the RGM-79N Custom which has two separate and complete Carbine and Machinegun, this model comes only with the main body of the gun (with the handle) then two pairs of barrel and magazine attachments... which sucks... I think it's better to have a whole extra gun at the backskirts rather than that ugly attachments...
(The red version offers three pairs... the third is somewhat like a heavy machinegun with a longer barrel and bigger ammo clip...)
Beam saber action poses... (I used the Aile Strike's beam sabers... the original beam sabers for the kit were a light shade of pink...)
Beam Spray Gun...
GM Machinegun...
The head has good details especially the interiors... and the clear part has a pearl gloss feel to it...
Cockpit opened... and body details...
Inner Leg frame... the only pistons which work are the two pairs that connect to the knees...
Those two pairs of pistons...
These pistons which (should) connect to the feet doesn't work at all... it's just for design purposes...
These are real rope? like parts... like the one used on Gundam Seed's Zaku Warrior Lunamaria Hawk Custom... a nice upgrade from the plastic version from the RGM-79N Custom...
So there's the quick review of RGM-79 Type C ...
Will try to post A.E.U.G. MSA-003 Nemo later...
I've been awake for more than 30 hours by now...
I'll be taking a quick nap after lunch... then maybe continue snapfitting the already lagging PG Strike Freedom...
