1/100 VF-25F MESSIAH VALKYRIE "RANKA LEE" WIP

Here's a WIP... can't do photoshoots for the gallery now...
maybe on the weekend...

stickers are a downer...

I have also painted both VF pilots at last using Vallejo Paints...
I made one red with yellows just to have variety...

hkghj

After building the two VF-25s, I'm thinking of getting another and paint it realistically since I enjoyed painting the pilots... wondering how much more fun it is to paint a whole model with over weathering...

Anyways...

That's one down, too many to go...

1/100 VF-25F MESSIAH VALKYRIE "SHERYL NOME"

Got this kit from my supplier about a month ago along with MG NT-1 Gundam Alex, this is the only kit at the moment which I finished building straight, within a day, which is relatively fast compared to most of my other projects which lasts about 9 months or so...

Though I hate stickers, and this kit has large ones, I had no choice but to use them since I can't find any third party waterslides anywhere, and Bandai wouldn't release any...

Gallery and wips after the jump break...

Still hasn't painted the pilot...

Photography: +100 XP

Engines were painted with my usual "50%German Gray+10%Silver+40%Gunmetal" mix, then drybrushed with silver, then applied black enamel wash...

Applied enamel red for panel lines without gloss coating underneath... luckily nothing broke... I figured that the pieces were thick enough to withstand the brittleness... just don't flood the whole thing in enamel...

Painted the battroid's head's antenas with silver then applied black enamel washes...

Then stickers...

I actually snapfitted the MG Alex before doing this one, I just need to snap fit the Chobam Armors then post them to the gallery... slightly a good kit but with ancient Bandai Tech...

I just finished watching:
SDF MACROSS
MACROSS PLUS
MACROSS FRONTIER

Currently watching: MACROSS 7

Will watch: MACROSS ZERO

I am in serious need of a social life... seriously...

PG 1/60 ZGMF-X20A STRIKE FREEDOM WIP 6

Luckily, I had time to do more work on this commission since I'm on a week off my internship since the project we were working on was completed... And I did spent some serious amount of time (maybe a little bit excessive) while at work... [Either I am workaholic or motivated... hmmm...]

Anyways... done with almost everything except the two beam rifles...

Still needs a little bit more cleaning, dusting, and extra coating before photography session...

PG 1/60 ZGMF-X20A STRIKE FREEDOM WIP 5

Maybe this will be the second to the last of the PG STRIKE FREEDOM WIP list... the last one will be about the Dragoon System which I'm still working on, but close to finishing...

Anyways, this post is just a collection of WIP images already posted on my facebook account dated July to September...

EVA-02 Production 2.0 WIP 2

Evangelion Unit-02 Weapons... A lot of colors...

I didn't bother removing the seamlines nor cementing the halves together... I just painted then straight even without sanding or priming, still looks great... I might do it for every weapon in every kit...

Basically, all the extra weapons and accessories were molded in one color which is gray, which I have to paint in numerous colors to make them look as how they appeared in the series/movies...

Basic green was a mix of NATO green and my mix of light gray (light gray, little parts of silver, german gray, white...)

The lighter shade was the first green mix with more off white parts...

Then Enamel Red for the details...

Black Enamel washes and German Gray mix on those screws and things...

Acrylic white, Acrylic yellow, Enamel red and black markers for the Prog Knife (Future coatings in between...)

I left the Thunder Spear unpainted... it's supposed to be painted with shades of blue but I currently don't have any lighter shades of blue at hand, and my white is at a low...

And the Umbilical Cable unpainted... there sould be some reds and golds there...

Hands attached...

The S-type equipment introduced only in the Rebuild series...

I didn't bother painting them since I have no intention on displaying EVA-02 with them... It was cool to see it in the movie but it wasn't really as memorable as how EVA-02 originally fought in her debut in the Pacific... maybe use it on kitbashing on the future...

There are some nice details on it anyway...

Decals WIP to be posted next...

I'm actually done with everything concerning EVA-02 at the moment...

I just need to work on the base...

Ja!
