MG 1/100 Wing Gundam Ver.Ka EW WIP 8

-Applied gloss coating (Future) for Pre-Enamel Wash preparation...
-Applied Enamel Tamiya XF-59 Desert Yellow as main enamel wash...
-Applied Black Enamel washes for some grays and borders...
-Sprayed Tamiya Matte Coat...

Everything was Matte Coated except the buster rifle's 3 energy caps...

Sensor Parts, soon to be painted clear green and silvers...

Test assembly...
I left out the head since I still need to do the Eyes/Sensors/Camera...

I'm thinking of cutting some parts of the stand connector piece since it's too bulky and covers certain areas of the model... I may just take out the whole part and drill a hole below the crotch instead...

Proxy stand/base...

I'm liking the look of matte coat, might get a few cans next time...

But I'm aiming for not using any top coats/gloss coats/matte coats next time, and rely solely on the appearance of the paint, but that's just if I can get myself an Airbrush...

The overall look of the model looks OK, a great improvement over the last painted one (Strike Gundam)... Must not ruin the photography... Though I must point out that the colors tend to be much brighter and more dynamic in pictures over looking at it personally/ in real life...

Thinking of doing the photography under natural light...

Dust in my work space is really become a problem...

I just Graduated, and currently working...

Suddenly, a gazillion thoughts of what to do in the next few years seem to come up out of nowhere...

Seems like the last 4 years was like a dream, at the brink of being forgotten...

Can't do much about regrets but live with it,

accept the facts, accept the failures, hope there's still another tomorrow...

But that's the End of another Quadrimular...

A Phenomena lasting for four years...

And my Internet Connection is still sh*ty...

MG 1/100 Wing Gundam Ver.Ka EW WIP 7

Decals done...
A few weren't placed at the right angles in relation to the others, but it's still looking fine...
A layer of Future, brown wash, and a final matte coat for next time...

For the RED Decals over White armor surfaces, I applied a layer of white filter (same white mix used, only with about 90% water) just to create a "faded" effect for the decals...

I also used Mr. Mark Softer and Mr. Mark Setter...

Mr. Marker Softer - slightly melts the decals so they follow the surface... really useful over Wing Ver. Ka's Shield decals...

Mr. Mark Setter - it is just an adhesive made for decals so they wouldn't fall off over time... I think it's just glue dissolved in water...

A layer of Future, brown wash, and a final matte coat for next time...

Still thinking about what to do with the stand/base...

Either a plain black base or go with the originally planned "forest/school grounds/relena" diorama...

But after doing this kind of "Graphical/Pastel Colors/Artsy" finish on Wing Gundam, instead of a "Realistic/Weathered" finish, I think I should just go for a plain black (or white) base..
